For many cruises, it is a good idea to bring these type of clothing on board since you will spend several days up to more than a week on board. Natural fabrics like silk, cotton, linen and in a loose fit would be preferable.

During the cruise trip, you will encounter various Buddhist establishments. Therefore, with these visits, kindly keep in mind that proper and respectful outfits are mandatory. Always include a couple pair of long pants or dresses that cover your knees, and shirts that hide your shoulders and cleavages. Sunscreen is probably one of the most essential items that you always need to bring on any trip. Additionally, sunglasses and hats (preferably wide-brim) are good companion to have. These items will also be in some cruises’ boutique shops. Of course the products on board will be high quality but it also will come with premium price tags. Therefore, it is always a good idea to prepare beforehand.

Getting medications oversea can be quite hard especially in Laos where most pharmacists are unable to speak English. An enjoyable holiday is highly dependent on how well you feel during the trip and proper medication could save you from the risk of cutting your trip short.

This one is often overlooked by many travelers, especially when it comes to tropical climate. Though the cruise will do their best to prevent bugs from invading your space, the Mekong River and the habitats alongside the river contains too many insects especially mosquitos. 5. Comfortable footwear

With the cruise, there are plenty shore excursions to spice things up. During these excursions, there will be some walking needed so a good pair of shoes are needed. However, if possible, a pair of sandals would be recommended over shoes because of the fact that you will need to remove them upon entering religious sites and tying and untying shoes may be a bit of a hassle.

A small camera can help you record memorable moments of your trip

Many of the cruises will take you to unique places and sights that not many have seen before. Because of this, it is a good idea to bring your camera to capture these moments to share with others later. Also bring extra batteries, memory cards since you will have lots of experience to bring back home.

A small bag is incredibly convenient especially for shore excursion, you will be able to bring a few extra important items with you and your camera too without having to lug your whole baggage.
